New NIH-funded center could soon reduce the need for pharmaceutical trials on animals
SiMPore wants to congratulate our Corporate Director & Co-Founder James McGrath on receiving a grant from the National Institutes of Health for a new campus center at the University of Rochester to house his project titled, Translational Center for Barrier Microphysiological Systems (TraCe-bMPS).
SiMPore’s very own membranes and µSiM platforms will be utilized in this research to create tissue-on-chip devices for testing drugs. Among many other improvements, this research would also reduce the need for animal trials in the future.
